WCG QUALIFICATION #5 will be held at the Internet café GameOnline in Göteborg. This newspost will be updated with a full coverage when the qualification is finished and the winners are named.

GAMEONLINE WORLD CYBER GAMES QUALIFICATIONS. Oh yeah. Let me explain from the beginning. I went there (Gothenburg) with my girlfriend yesterday. We spent the day and night at Daaman's place, he showed us around in his gosu car. Soooo nice, damn, all credits to him for being such a nice host. Ok let's get to the point, the WCG: GameOnline started 14.00 CET Sunday. I went there early in the morning just to check the computers and the equipment, just to see that everything was in order, and it was. And all the computers played without using any cds - what a miracle :P There were 9 people registered and confirmed when my cellphone told me that the time was 14:20. Time to begin. We had a meeting outside in the sun, since GameOnline was damn crowded with counter-strike fans (as usual T.T). The following players were there to play:

We played a single elimination tournament, best out of three in every game. Since there were nine players there, two had to do a "qualify" thingy. That game was played between titan and pyro_mongo. Pyro won the game played on Lost Temple.

After that, we started the games. These are the results of the first game:

Started about as we thought. SaFT and KeNKa won their games. Britney lost (while using many words of bad manner) against Infested[KB] the first game on Lost Temple, but then won 2 games to 1. Both [KB] brothers (twins) were playing very good! Dewadoor beat LaLush, 2 games to 1.

Results of second round:

Britney won one game vs Kenka, ZvT where Kenka goes massive valkyres and loses, but he won the two other games and advanced to the final against QSaFT, who won against Dewadoor. Dewadoor had the first game in his pocket but did not manage to destroy saft's main entirely, and lost the game after some good fighting. Finals: QSaFT vs KeNKa!

The finals were played even if it didn't matter since both Saft and Kenka were already qualified to the national final, but we played it anyway. KeNKa won the finals (TvP both games) with 2 games to 0!

Congratulations! Thanks all for coming, a big crowd showed up today watching Brood War! After the games, the winner (Kenka) drove me home all the way from Gothenburg to Linköping (by train it would take 5-6 hours but kenka managed it on 2½ :P). GG CU at next qualification!
