There was 64 qualification tournaments with 32 players each. and only 1 of 32 advanced to Ro64. This qualification tournaments were completely randomize, so It could be 32 noobs or 32 pros in it. As far I see Jinro was in pretty hard group, he was eliminated in round 3, and I believe Torch is very weak player but he was in very weak group in qualification...
No1 ever heard about him, we didnt see him anywhere, all we know hes a "professional gamer on mobile devices". So he is a master of tetris and snake on Nokia, and as af as I know he won vs terran in final of his group with mass cvikings and 1 bc -_-.

i dont understand the hype around torch either.
he definetely needs to prove himself first. right now, for me he's some "no name" who got lucky.

hype? of course there will be a lot of discussion about him when there's only 4 foreigners in this tournament. I don't believe anyone have tried to "hype" him as a good player. just interesting that he actually made it through the qualifiers.
