Why there is no replays added in Dota2 replay section yet? At least for the guys that got a beta key!

Because you can just go to the watch tab in the client? It even has a search function.

Watch tab does not record practice games, only matchmaking. So if you want to watch replays from tournaments you'll have to watch manually recorded *.dem files.

Valve said - they are going to update Dota 2 so the old replays won't be watchable anymore. I guess that's the main reason.

Valve should really create an Offline Replay viewer. I don't like to waste my high-speed limited bandwidth net which i use for steam to be used for replays, etc.

Can't you watch it once online and record your own demo? You know like Garena Wagh HLTV et al.

#3 You don't have to be online to read *dem files. Just use the console command and it will read the file regardless if you're online or not.

Valve has already said they will change the demo file format, probably to something a lot less heavy - replay files are ~40mb atm. Just wait and replays will pop up :)

There's also the fact that broadcasters get more views on their VODs by not releasing replays..
