its 300 bucks a month, tickets to the lans with expenses paid and 90% of all the prize moneys, now do the math, consider how much Dota2 tournaments are paying now, consider how much tournaments of dota2 will happen in 2012,consider how much of those 1st places artstyle would get and dont forget to - all expenses with things like tickets, food and things like this if he wants to go to other countries and then tells me if if 2% more in each lan will be bigger than 300$ a month(3.6k a year)

honestly even if artstyle forms this new team with m5 he is not going to win 30% of all the tournaments, now the scene is alot bigger and alot of teams are capable of winning now,so yea i dont know how you guys do business but math shows,2% of a POSSIBLE prize money(consider WDC,in tournaments there is always possibility of a big team not even passing group stage) really do worth a sure monthly salary of 300 bucks and free tickets/expenses to the lans.

I really do believe that there are alot of other reasons for the team to reject the contract because honestly,i cant see in what way MAYBE getting 2% more in a prize money would be better than the stability of getting salaries and tickets to the lans lol.

and ya,i do agree with you they are free to do whatever they want but stills a dumb decision,so please if you are going to bother replying, explain why m5 offer is bad

Tickets to the lans? Really? I don't think M5 was sending it's squad to lans very often. Besides as Artstyle said - big tournaments usually do most of the work themselves including food and hotels.

I won't even talk about OSPL where garaj consitently takes first places. And it's a damn 27 000 usd. Starladder with 10000 usd. Other big tournaments within CIS. It's not very hard to nail them because their main opponents won't be there.

But I really don't like the concept of giving away the prize money. With every successfull win their income gets lower. This negates their will to win. IMO.

Organizations should rely on sponsored money. If they don't get enough money from sponsors - they should just lower their standarts.

Trying to increase their income by taking unreliable prize money into account just shows how weak and shaky this organization is.

Hey if Artstyle doesn't like playing in Navi M5 or DTS, there are more than 15 better players lined up to take his spot. The problem is M5's boss is too blind to see them.

MrBaller, u r really a hardcore butt, you have ur opinion and other have their own. You r happy with 300 $ a month and give 10% to the org, it is fine but the annoying thing here is that you do not bother to read info given that Artstyle agrees with normal salary and give 10% or low salary without % to org and once he has turned his back to org because they agreed to pay him but not his teammates (what do you think about this).

It is the Org's decision to accept or not to if they can not provide such conditions to the players and no need to make voice. The reason the Org has made a big fuzz bcoz when Artstyle comes in the rest listened to him and they decided to leave so the Org loose all the good players.

All you say about Arstyle is right on the surface (have you ever thought why would a guy do such rediculus things but people still listen to him? or maybe there is sth he is right about for making all shits happened back then).

More about M5 org, this org should be boycotted by players as well and WHY???, Org smacks M5 players for loosing their first dota 2 tournement (when PGG and Vigoss were in) and even more they just said sth about reject the dota1 project and come back with dota2 project next year, this is just bullshiting man, the reason is that they dont wanna pay players during that time or wanna get better players but they can not. In my opinion M5 gamimg will disappear soon in Dota world if they can not get those guys.

M5's boss making some calculations in comments section.

He believes that the total amount of prize money on tournaments available to his team is 2kk $ per year. Taking their ups-and-downs into account he thiks they are cappable of winning 500k $ in 2012 (25%).

M5 takes 20% of prize money from players. +18k sponsorship from Razer. Total of ~118k usd in 2012.

He believes that M5 will spend 130-150k usd on tickets/hotels/other org stuff. +salary(for some reason he says 60k usd or 1000$ monthly for 1 player).

So ~200k expenses - ~120k income = ~-80k from his own pocket.

The question is - do you believe him?

M5's boss mentions a lot of tournaments, but ESWC and WDC cover all their accommodation costs but not travel expenses. A quick hipmunk search on flight costs from Moscow to Beijing reveals that the return ticket costs 570$ times 5 that's 2850$. Another search for flights to Paris reveal that the price for a return ticket is 240$ times 5 that's 1200$.

The rest of the tournaments he mentions are OSPL, ASUSx4 and TechLabs which are all in Eastern Europe, so travel expenses are not that big, but I think they have to pay for accommodation, but I'm not so sure. Let's say their accomodation costs are not paid by the tournament: 5 nights for 6 persons in a 4 star hotel in Eastern Europe costs around ~600$ (from booking.com). So multiply this price by the number of tournaments (times 6) you'll get 3600$. Put another 25% as unpredicted costs and you'll get a total of ~10.000$ for all the torunmanets.

Quite the difference from 130-150k. Maybe M5's boss calculated these costs because he plans to take his players with a private jet around the world and accommodates them in 7 star hotels. Who knows, maybe he is crazy like that.

The question is - are you retarded enough to believe him?

For someone to build an organization and then deciding to not make any profit and instead lose more money is... smart right?
