Sc2gears: The SC2Replay OS (6058 reads, 10 replies, 1 year ago)

Sc2gears home page:

Sc2gears is a replay management, a replay analyzer and a general StarCraft 2 utility program written in Java (requires Java 6.0 or newer).

Sc2gears is not final, I'm still working on it hard. Many feature are not yet added that I plan to, but I believe it is already quite useful as you can search and manage replays, you can view basic information and formatted in-game chat.

Screenshot:

Main features:

-Advanced replay search with replay source management, customizable search filters, and result list saving (the saved lists are CSV's which can be opened with Excel for example). You can add comments to replays. The result list can be sorted by any columns.

-Advanced replay operations in the result tab of replay search (select replays and right click to access it): copy, move, rename, delete, pack (ZIP) replays, open replay's folder. The rename operation works on a template entered by the user.

-Replay analyzer with game info, replay chat and map preview as of now.

-Multi platform release: there is one single download for all operating systems (Windows, Linux, Mac OS-X)

-Multi language user interface: users are welcome to translate the language file, any new language can be plugged in.

-Multiple Document Interface (MDI): Several replay analysis, replay search etc. can be open at a time, and each has its own internal window which can be sized, moved, iconified etc.

-Multi-threading technology: you can run several replay searches, analyzers etc. parallel in different internal windows without one blocking you or another task.

-Several Look and Feels (graphical themes).

-Supports full-screen mode, supports system tray.

-Automated self-updater (asks for confirmation).

There is a lot more info on the home page, check it:

Version 0.61 out:

-Added German translation by Stephan Wimmer.

-Added UTF-8 support, replays from all languages are now parsed correclty.

-Added a new check box menu item to the windows menu: "Use vertical tile strategy". If it is checked, windows will be tiled vertically first and horizontally second.
To demonstrate this: if you have 2 internal windows, by default tile arranges them horizontally (left and right). If this is checked, they will be arranged vertically (up and down).

-Added the default Java installation paths to the Sc2gears-win.cmd file to avoid "Windows cannot find 'javaw'" errors.

-Fixed a replay parser error in the map title length (this caused some replays to fail when parsing).

i dont know if SC2gears has this or not, I wasn't able to find it. but can you give it a way to re-name new replays. like at the moment, I only know how to change replay names of games I already have. meaning I have to go and change the names of the games that I will play in the future, making this a constant thing.

like I kno there are programs that saves reps in a new format, Im wondering if sc2 gears has it. because the other programs are very buggy/ cause crashes.
Tell no secrets, show no weakness.

I get an error message, which tells me that my Replay folder should be in:
C:/Dokumente und Einstellungen/i/Documents/Starcraft II Beta/...
while it is in:
C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\i\Eigene Dateien\StarCraft II Beta/
does anyone know how to change that folder?
