KOTH: Sen 4:1 Strelok - who's next?

The top-notch Zerg from Taiwan did it again. After beating Strelok with 4-1 everyone is asking who is going to stop him. Read our battlereports of the games - and utter your thoughts on his upcoming potential opponent.

The very prestigious King of the Hill tournament of GosuGamers.net took place once again and MYM.Sen is still the reigning champion after beating xLo.Strelok with 4-1. Sen is, along with MYM.Testie, the only player who managed to be victorious in KOTH four times in a row and everyone is looking for a potential opponent for the upcoming KOTH. Rumors are floating around, former SKT1 pro Lx announced one week ago that "he would love to play KOTH against Sen - and destroy him." Super and Androide came to many minds as well. Time will tell but it will not last forever when we will announce the next opponent.

Game 1: Peaks of Baekdu

Strelok starts at top position, builds one barrack, adds an expo shortly afterwards and once it finishes he begins to build M&M's. Sen is going for 3-hatch-Mutalisks which is less effective as Strelok built many Turrets. After building some Lurkers Sen finishes Hive tech (Greater Spire + Defiler Mound) and Strelok tries to attack but gets nicely stopped by Guardians and Lurkers. More battles follow and Strelok runs out of minerals when he decides to do another attack. He leaves his base unprotected, Sen manages to kill the buildings and after defending the Terran attack he wins game one. 1-0 Sen.

Game 2: Reverse Temple

Strelok starts at 12h position, builds one barrack before expo and prepares a Tank drop. Sen, starting at 6h position, decides to use Lurker and prepares drops as well. Both players start a simultanious drop, Sen loses his expo and Strelok several units. Sen continues the drops and manages to take down many SCV's. After flying 8 Overlords into the Terran base Strelok is thinking of a drop and he returns to base, when it turns out to be a fake one and he gets overrun by Lurker/Ling some moments later. 2-0 Sen.

Game 3: Longinus

Longinus is the map and Strelok(11h pos.) decides to build an expo very early on. Sen(3h pos.) on the other hand goes for some usual 3-hatch-Muta build, tries to overrun Strelok with mass speed Lings but gets stopped by M&M's. Once the Mutas are out Sen begins killing the Terran units one by one with nice micro. Meanwhile Lurkers and Lings are on the way but Strelok is able to kill all of them and starts a counter attack Sen cannot defend. 2-1

Game 4: Tau Cross

A pretty short game here. Strelok with fast expansion and M&M again, Sen is doing a 3 hatch build again. Strelok scans the Zerg base, expects Mutalisks and places many Turrets in his base but Sen is going for Lurker-Drop with Lings. Only a few moments later Lurkers are almost everywhere in Streloks base and once the Lings killed the barracks he types "gg". 3-1 in Sen's favour.

Game 5: Gaia

Time for the last game. Gaia is the map and both players start next to each other at 6h and 7h position. Strelok builds an expo after finishing his first barrack again, then massing M&M and Vessels. Sen builds both Mutalisks and Lurkers and manages to keep Strelok in his base. Meanwhile he starts Hive tech and expands. Once Strelok added some Tanks he moves out but his army gets overrun by Sen's many Lings and Lurkers. Guardians follow shortly afterwards and Strelok still did not manage to kill a single expo of Sen. In spite of the fact that he has many Tanks Sen is able to defend every attack and has enough gas for Defiler and Ultralisk tech. Strelok runs out of minerals, scouts the Ultralisks and types out. Sen wins 4-1.
