Just now, ESL announced the groups for the IEM Global Challenge Sao Paulo with SuperNova being the only Korean invite. The tournament, which is to start in five days time on February 8th, sees nine of the sixteen spots occupied by Zerg players.
IEM Sao Paulo is the last Global Challenge before the World Championship at CeBIT Hannover in March and will once again have sixteen players fighting for $21,000 as well as invites to the final tournament of the season.
Thus far, oGsSuperNova is the only Korean invite (excluding viOlet, who hails in from the United States), as two of the spots reserved for the Eastern representatives were given to sLivko and Snute. SuperNova shares a group with foreign Zerg duo Killer and DarkForce as well as the American Terran Illusion, who recently took second at the ONOG Invitational. ViOlet, on the other hand, is in the company of Swiss Zerg Bigs and homefield Protoss player Potiguar, while waiting for the fourth contender in his group to be revealed.
Other participants include Belgian sensation Feast, who made an outstanding run through IEM Kiev before falling to eventual champion MMA, the "King of Drones" Liquid`Ret, EG's Demuslim (who replaces qxc, the latter having cancelled his participation) and IM's Peruvian Terran Fenix.

Fenix is still alive? :o
Wow long time no see from Fenix ^_^ But he's got 3 good Zergs in his groups, I don't see him coming out of it :( Poor DeMuslim has a tough group w/ Feast and Xlord, but I have faith in him.
moar zergz! for the swaarm rotti do ur best as always
for the Swarm!!!
Go KiLLeR! Fighting **
#2 .. do you call it a tough group?? demuslims group is the easiest
#6 Let's see who gets into group 3. I actually think Xlord and Feast are far underrated. Xlord made it far in HSC III.
Feast is definitely a favorite in the 2nd group, I think that Demuslim might take a game from someone ;D Anyway from the invited players, the high lvl ones are too less. Imo it's not that interesting to watch :/
I don't see anyone that is able to take down Supernova, so I am pretty positive that this will be his tournament. Of course, we have yet to see the last player.
#9 dont count on VioLet. He was and remains a sick zerg with godly micro ^^
#10 He is good, he just isn't on Supernova's level, that is known for beating DRG every single time, also beating NesTea few times already. If anyone can beat Supernova from these players, it probably would be Violet, but it will be pretty tough for him to do it.
Why does it seem to be a line painted over Ret's face? :)
12# =O that's true, and gogo Killer
#12 yeah lol someone went to paint and draw a black line over his head :)
This Brazilians aren't good enough, I don't know what Levin is doing but I think he'd do better :l Demuslim and Supernova are going to destroy this IEM.
only hard to call group is fenix and ret group. nova demuslim and violet clear favorites
funny people are complaining about the skill level, but all of these played through qualifiers and beat several top notch players to get there. most of you will probably be surprised
#11 its nothing like that in SC2 , some months back in IEM gatored also took out DRG in Bo3, does that mean he is on another level? no, also Supernova lost to TITAN in WCG semis if i recall correctly.so SC2 is pretty random ,one can never predict much
hope feast do well and win this one! not the hardest pool
protoss op
SuperNoVa and ViOlet are with the best chance to win this tournament :) mine opinion
Go Demuslim :D
#18 You are talking about one Bo3, I am talking about line of GSL matches between those. I don't say that they have absolutely no chance, but their chance is very very slim. Supernova, non-stop practicing and fighting GSL Code S Koreans, is a lot more experienced than all others, I would say. It also depends on his mood, and how he plays that day, so anything can happened, but if we are talking about skill level, Supernova is #1 in this tournament.
I agree that supernova is the clear favorite here. But i think that violet, feast or ret could take him down if he si not familiar with their playstyles. Feast likes to play very aggresive PvT, violet is very unpredictable and ret can be tough if you let him play his game.
this is a bad joke

Two Koreans on groups? GG
ReaL last player in group C: http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/IEM_Season_ VI_-_Global_Challenge_Sao_Paulo
#2 LOL Actually of the 3 groups he has the "easiest" However since in sc2 everyone can win anyone on that level there really is no "easy" in a sense of easy peazy 3-0 #7 well actually no HSC3 was 1.Huk,2.Naniwa , 3.MC, 4.Tarson , 5.Idra 6.Stephano So Xlord didnt make it far when not even TOP 6
go killer; hard but not imposible ^^
Go Bigs! :P
