SearchNorth America gets a 100,000 beta key giftbox

Blizzard have unloaded a huge number of Diablo III beta keys to North American Battle.net accounts. If you have one and have done the the beta opt-in be sure to check your profile - you might be lucky.
Blizzard also warn their community that with this huge giveaway of keys it is likely for an increase in phishing attempts to be seen as well. The easiest way to avoid it is, of course, bypass all e-mails and directly go to your Battle.net account - should you have received access, the Diablo III beta icon will be active. If you're not on the NA server don't despair - in the blue post announcement, Blizzard are promising more giveaways as well as regional betas.
If you didn’t receive an invite, never fear! We’re going to continue to give away beta invites, so be on the lookout for promotions, contests, and giveaways on our properties as well as at your favorite fansites. We’ll have more information about these global giveaways as well as regional betas in the coming weeks.

| actually the current d3 beta is not that super cool... i enjoyed it for like a hand full of hours and was bored after beating leoric at first try :( |

| they did announce they will start off with giving beta to NA, and then to EU though, right when the beta was announced. so be patient ;D |

| Well what happens if you have games from different countries? (D2 bought in canada, sc2 in euro etc...) Or is it based on your location? It probably doesn't matter because blizzard is a pro at giving out beta keys to the WoWers instead of the actual people crossing their fingers for the game in question (sc2 was a perfect fricking example of this). |
