The second season is now starting, expanding into featuring more countries. The groupstage contains of 16 teams.Countries such as Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Hungary, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia and Turkey have been given the opportunity to get invited to Balkan League.
The first phase is a groupstage featuring the notorious best out of 2-format. A total of 16 teams divided into 2 groups will be fighting each other to determine the 8 teams qualifying for the playoffs.

The prizes are as follows:
1st - 3 Months premium membership 15.000 EXP at Garena + Headset
2nd - 2 Months premium membership 10.000 EXP at Garena
3rd - 1 Month premium membership 5.000 EXP at Garena

| Hate to be the bearer of bad news but snT will not be participating in this tournament because we are not playing dota anymore. So Good Luck & Have Fun to all participants and may the best team win. Im cheering for the Macedonian teams. :P P.S. Stop talking trash about the prizes. They are good starting prizes, anyways its a step forward for dota. |
#50 Yeah but thats because in your country there are more computer games enthusiast (=nerds?) then in Balkan. In Serbia for instance, the girls are so pretty and alcohol so cheap, that the guys just cant resist and go out. PC Games are not that popular  |

| #54 Actually the computer gaming at our region is quete famous and I would suggest every sponsor to concentrate at this area. The lack of money for living are the main reason a lot of talanted guys not to go and play at professional level and the lack of money in the professional computer gaming is the other reason. However if there are some investments at this area there could be some really good gamers poping up. I will give u simple example SK.Insomnia (Bulgaria) won WC3 WCG Championship few years ago quete easilly, but now plays poker due to obvious finansical reasons. He also was one of the best star craft players back in the days but moved to WC3 because of the money. His partner at 2v2 SC was even better player than him (a rl friend of mine) but quit gaming to get a job for living. |

| I'm playing in this league and I'm content with the prizes if we win it . Selling a good headset is really easy ... Anyway , every league with some prizes and some teams is nice , even though you don't win the champion's league prize money Oo |
