The second season is now starting, expanding into featuring more countries. The groupstage contains of 16 teams.Countries such as Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Hungary, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia and Turkey have been given the opportunity to get invited to Balkan League.
The first phase is a groupstage featuring the notorious best out of 2-format. A total of 16 teams divided into 2 groups will be fighting each other to determine the 8 teams qualifying for the playoffs.

The prizes are as follows:
1st - 3 Months premium membership 15.000 EXP at Garena + Headset
2nd - 2 Months premium membership 10.000 EXP at Garena
3rd - 1 Month premium membership 5.000 EXP at Garena

| #3 #5 Actually it's written on site that prizes are a bit better then you mention in your posts: The prizes for this season are much better, sponsored from SteelSeries and Adepto and they are: 5 Steelseries Siberia v2 headphones: img - 3 Months premium membership 15.000 EXP + Headset img - 2 Months premium membership 10.000 EXP img - 1 Month premium membership 5.000 EXP Also another shop promised me mousepads for this, but it's still unsure I won't put it for now. These headsets are 100euro each. If you can provide better prizes, please let me know. |

| I feel that it's very unnecessary to bash prizes or whatnots. As #41 mentioned, it's a good start with competitive from Balkan countries, it's a great initiative. It's hard to get sponsors to deal any prizes as it is right now (but it's easy to make them promise something and then not pay, it would seem). I for one, think it's a good league for teams and countries involved and hopefully will provide with some neat games. |
| well instead of headset exp and other thing they can just get some sopncer and make it cash prize.............well if there is some kind of charity collector then it will be a real good idea..............like there should be some thing to buy on gg store which profit should be given to the leauge............ if atleast 50 000 gamers out of 1 billion buy that item ( min profit) then the leauge can arrange 50 000 $...............this way gaming will surely increasy ^_^...... and for fuck sake m not a hater of this leauge m just shocked with the prize pool |

| whoaaa the prizes are way too big for me... FYI : at my beloved country, we used to had an amateur DOTA tournaments which held on a internet cafe that provides at least $300-$500 to the winner team. Yup it's all cash... and some several gaming equipments... but hey this is just an amateur tournaments where non of the team are a serious DOTA player (maybe some of the team are). |
