Hey guys, ive been long time apart from the scene, i just got dota 2 beta key yesterday and i want to watch replays from gosu :)

need to know how work the system now.. what about that match ID? i have to do something with that on steam or what?

well if you search for a special player you can click on watch in the game client and filter for his name, but if you are looking for professional and/or event games, you maybe need to buy access via steam or the replays arent available at all.
so in the case VODs are only chance to see the game.

Seriously, dont watch Dota 2 replays or live games cuz you won't learn anything from it. You can see everything from the minimap even you change the view to Radiant or Dire. Try to watch Dota 1 replays it's much better imo, watch only the hero that you want to play see how he farms and map awareness

why not watching dota from the players view?
no idea how you can learn more from dota 1 then from dota 2. its difficult anyway, btu with casts you have the chance to learn the important things imo.

Watching from player's perspective will teach you more about dota 2 then watching dota 1 replays.

afaik, you can't watch pro tournament replays without buying their ticket

i downloaded a .dem "replay" i moved to the folder steam/..../dota/replays but i dont know how to watch it,welp pls?

Hello everybody I have a question, If i have a practice game that i want my friend to watch, can i give him the Match ID?

#10 you should be able to download it on your own and to send him the replay. he isnt able to watch it otherway.
