until there's a legitimate governing committee or commission that will overlook and enforce the rules and regulations of each individual game, nope.. i wonder if they will ever establish a International Esports Commission.. that would be awesome..

I think for pretty much all games, it's closer to what soccer is in the Olympics. It's something that would just be there, but there would be as good as no prestige or interest in it. Just like WCG is now.
Furthermore, the E-sports scene is changing too rapidly (i.e. new games appear, old games die out). 10 years is considered an ancient game in E-Sports, while 10 years is considered a very young sport in the Olympics. This doesn't really need to be a problem, but personally I'd prefer some continuity.
