dota2 is out of beta right so no LAN? or are they planning to add later or never?

yes, they're adding lan. The game is still in "beta", its open beta

it's a f2p game in open beta which you have to pay for open beta access.

At the begging it was said that there won't be a LAN mode, but then they realized that Asia hasn't change the Internet cables since the the Middle Ages, so they've changed their statement and now we can only wait for them to implement it...

#8 EU guys like you will never know the real feeling of playing in LAN. Adding LAN mode is not all about Internet connection issues. For example, in Singapore, we do have very decent internet connection but i prefer playing DotA in LAN with my friends in cyber cafe. We enjoy shouting,flaming,trashtalking and especially laughing at each others. My point here is playing DotA in LAN is not all about Internet connection issues and it does involve Friendship in real life. Playing in LAN give me more friends in real life. I knew some of my best friends in cyber cafe while playing DotA. Trust me, playing DotA in LAN with your best friends is 10x better than playing DotA Online with online friends or random people.

I'm looking forward to play DotA 2 in LAN mode with my friends soon.

#11 Yup,you're right.Just having some LANs with my friends last week.We shouted and flaming alot.However,it was a great experiece.Guess a dota player should enjoy this.

#11 If the Internet connection is good, what's your problem with playing on LAN atm? You can just host a game on VALVE's servers...
