Introducing RMAH into hardcore
Isn't wrong it's great and should be done. People who loves this game and have a chance to do it 24/7 just like any other top notch game as for example sc2 should be considered and thought of. If you don't want to spend money on expensive stuff just don't do it.
Gear should dissapear
Yes they should, when you die you die. This is hardcore baby!
They have already said it's possible to farm for your progress all byurself not using the auction house whatsoever, neither gold or RMAH. If it is not entirely possible on inferno yet it will be possible after patch 1.3. so advice you to stop complaining on something that will not affect the game as it is intended to work for everyone in someway.
Taking the auction house root is a shortcut and you don't need to use it. If you don't remember D2?, well there were no roads that led to some awsome auction houses, only merchants wich sold stuff wich could be good if you had a extrem luck with you. But it always cost a fortune...
Using the blacksmith is also a way to randomize better gear but it ofcourse cost alot of money and it is by all means, very random. So take your pick, to what road for the set out goal of yours, you will take. Is hardcore really something for you?

I don't give a flying duck if it's introduced, but still I fail to see the point.
Ofc for people like you it's a kinda miserable way to make some money, but for the others, those who buy?
The pro-RMAH keep repeating that it is, for buyers a balance of time vs money. That some people don't have time to farm the best gear and thus got to buy it.
Now tell me to what end would someone do that? Is it about "finishing the game"? This is actually a matter of hours, from Tristram to defeating diablo. Let's push it to two weeks of casual gaming to get to level 60.
You finished the story (3 times already), your hero is at his max level and you're done fooling around with the last batch of runes you unlocked.
So what's left, inferno? Why would you do that? You'll get nothing more.
You will go through inferno, because it's a challenge. A challenge that will take time. If you don't have the time to take it, then you just don't. Now if you skip the effort it took you to go through, it's not a challenge anymore, and it's basically nothing but a different background when you check your in-game profile.
Are people actually ready to pay for this, I have no doubts about it. But still I don't have enough hands to facepalm that kind of logic properly.

Hopefully it will be somewhat interesting enough to keep players around and make some interesting tournaments. Thats atleast what I hope for. But ofcourse they could have done alot more stuff to give this diablo franchise a longer lifespan. For example make a more interesting market where maybe there could be a real market area (house) with a floor for each level where you could interact with each player with their own booths to trade with them.
Atleast I belive that could have been alot more fun. Same goes for the leveling aspect where the world could be an entire world maybe with a real setlement with forts etc as there was in Conan but better made and same realtime action with enemys and bosses with warnings wich says ur about to enter a level 123 area, are you sure you want to keep going?
stuff like that, but not in a childish world like in wow but for us others. Much more like guild wars but true to the diablo franchise still. I unno I still think it still have some things left to give.
And RMAH doesnt really do anything but apply service for those who want to sell and those who want to buy for real money. Simple as that even if you think its stupid people would still use it for their own reasons. But as I said earlier, a reason to still keep playing after finnishing games like these, Diablo, Final Fantasy etc.
I think it is that there hopefully is a good enough story to follow as first goal and as 2nd goal to have elements or interactions in the game wich will be reasons good enough to have people keep playing.
