Dont wanna start another useless post on a simple game.

but did u se how much axe is viable??????????
one of the most underplayed hero in the hystory of the last 2 years of dota.
and thats means much or how stupid is the definition of the METAGAME is.
i dont wanna say that now every games axe should be picked.
but he can be the surprise pick that shock the enemy tactic and bring u to victory.
Like zenith do in this game.

i remember the first time magina was bring effecctivly in a competitive game.
it was in the era of medusa domination. (coz mana shield ofc)
and if i am not wrong lgd vs mym in some wdc or smm.
and dont tell me that magina was out of the metagame coz it was buffer than now.
or i can say pudge... bring like a joke by dendi in ESWC and now its a common surprise pick that if played well (ok its hard) destroy the early-mid game.

same as leshrac...... didnt see him for long time... then played correctly by one team (if im not wrong old M5) and now..... perma-ban/pick in almost every game.

and Krobe? in the last month i see her quite often and always with a good result...

i think one of the most underestimate hero is warlock. damn, fatal bond rape and his infernal with recent scepter upgrade is really hard to purge. and btw i really dont understand why teams dont pick him as last pick when enemy lineup have no realiable diffusial-carry. not to mention his push power..

i think the Metagame is just an opinion of who dont understand how much dota is flexible and deep

Moved to strat. Axe is good but people stopped picking it about two months ago because they know the counter now.

Same thing with lycan.

AL worst team at TI2 atm. They would have lost to techies too if zenith had the option of picking it. Does that mean techies should be a suprise pick to scare everyone?

OP: axe is not a great surprise pick, but he can counter some heroes and he might be viable, but why would you want an axe when you could have an crixalis or enigma for example, way better disables and teamfight abilities.

Also about AL, yes they lose a lot lately, but remember that they're the only team that we count as a western team (EU / USA) when half of their matches are against top asian teams, who are doing way better than EU / USA at the moment, like it or not.

And two weeks later, syllabear became a must-ban. Stop acting retarded people, and discuss why it is not a good pick without flaming "x" team and claiming they're low.

You misunderstood my post. I didnt mean Axe cant fit in right now, just that the OP's reason for thinking that he should is unfounded. Any hero can fit in given the right setting and condition. Though to debate whether a hero actually fulfilled its role would depend on how good/bad the opponents are which is where my point really lies. And yes, my point is valid in every sense as everyone here can see how bad AL has become over the last few months. Now if axe won vs a team which didnt call GG before even the Tier 2 mid went down or atleast played good that would be a different issue.

Actually, no need to deny it, AL isn't at his previous level, and Chinese/SEA teams are not THAT better than EU teams, they are roughly on the same level, actually we can't compare yet, until their next LAN (which is... )
But aL got stomped by this Axe although i believe they were lagging a bit (it was obvious sometimes, like ES casting fissure while his target is still in astral prison

Truth is Al aint playing on top form.Saying they play mostly againt top Asian teams aint completely right as they played against ToP EU teams like CLG and EG and still lost :X.There old dota 1 team use to own most teams and they Could Run with top EU and Asian teams ><
