i would not say she is useless, imo she even fits in push starts, because she can easily farm all game and ulti in for the teamfights ...
thats why she is usefull from lv 6 too, she can take the kills of the ganks and join for the pushes -> not a lot of farm is lost ...
the upcomming morph pretty much fits the same role, because he can be everywhere too with his replicate ... + he is ranged, got better burst and more escape and can instantly take out a single hero in lategame, and since the meta game went to heavy 5v5 during the pushes fighting 4v5 is a greater advantage than having a carry who can slowly but strictly tank and take off the whole enemy team (untill he gets heart and ac he can still be focused out imo)

I truly agree with those people saying that she's not gone in the CM scene, but yes, she's a wildcard for now, and she's training with the pubs at the moment.
IMHO a good formula for Merc is that the team has to either push or gank relentlessly, which is good because this gives her sufficient time to farm, and at the same time prevents her from being targeted early on.
"Just keep the enemy distracted while she farms."

If you say turtling with managing 5v5 team fights and defending is avoided, I don't find a reason why AM and Morph are picked so often, especially AM but I just don't get, why not Spec? I mean spec can be way more effective than an AM in most ways or even maybe a morph with handling picks. I just don't understand why.
Even weaver has disappeared from the scene.
All I remember is these 2 were picked back in the International and were successful.

@12 am picked for manaburn, morf picked for insta burst dmg.
Spectre not having a decent escape mechanism. Spectral dagger it doesnt make u go away instantly like blink or morf wave So its more easily ganked = less farm. @14 AM with battlefury >>>>>> spectre with rady on push
, spec > am on push maybe when ur drunk good

No you are wrong. Spectre is by far weaker than AM at splittpushing. Spectre won't buy BF and you can't get Radi as fast plus it pushes slower than BF. Spectre can easily die while splittpushing due to her having worse "escape" skills (Spectre has litterarly 0 escape skills).2012-05-16 12:53, Y-fi wrote:

Her Ultimate is worse for splittpush because unlike Replicate you can't be sure to escape and Waveform/Blink is better than her Dagger.
