Can anyone tell me why when I change video and advanced video settings in game in Dota 2 they don't stay where I put them? Any time I start a game or restart Dota 2 they reset to what I had originally set them. Even if I push defaults they return to what I had previously set them (not the defaults). I've reinstalled. CAN ANYONE HELP ME?!

properly reinstall is to delete the dota 2 file, delete local content from steam and then start from scratch, you could try that. Also you can try emailing valve, they're very good at technical feedback

close dota2 porperly so your settings will be saved

Any uninstalling in full or in part will not change your settings. Any settings in your config and launch options will overwrite in-game settings.
