So I prefer to ask you guys first, because here I believe I'll get better answer than other forums...

So I'm running dota2 in my laptop Asus A43 ( i5 second gen, 2gb NVidia GeForce 540, 4gb RAM).
For monitor I connect it via HDMI, to my 22" monitor, so my desktop resolution is 1080p.

I used to max everything and played in 1080p resolution only got 20-30 fps (60 fps in main menu, but that doesnt count XD ) and yes, my laptop becomes hot =_="

so here's now my new setting,

I get 60 fps with that setting and the game runs perfectly smooth, but I run it in my 1080p monitor, so it's kinda blurry...

Any suggestions will be appreciated, thx :)

I cant get 60fps if I put that on max. If I max the texture or the render quality the fps will drop to around 30fps.
I'm quite sure my laptop is powerful enough to play this game but it seems I cant get clear graphics... :(

leave everything on except anti aliasing you'll be fine. you might as well try to lower the resolution.

I tried to run it in 1080p resolution and only got 29-30fps, but i dont want to force my laptop so I guess this is good enough.. thanks JY..
but still the wind from my laptop is hot

Any other suggestions ?

i dont think you can do much about the heat from the exhaust fan but you can try to off vsyn and anti aliasing for better gameplay.

isn't turning off vsync is useless?
coz it doesn't let your frame rate go above my monitors refresh rate, so the image wont appear to be tearing, right?

your laptop has a huge ass screen, mine is 14inch and i run it at native res 1366x768.
edit: didnt know you connect it in a monitor :x

turn textures to high, it doesnt decrease perfomance since it only uses RAM afaik. Shadows's and lightings are the one that are gpu intensive. Ill turn off bloom since im not a fan of it anyway but that's just me

it is solely depends on your personal preference, i played all the games with vsyn off except when the screen tearing becomes unbearable.

bloom is the "sunlight" effect where things tend to glow or shine.
