This is awesome! I've been meaning to replay those games so many times anyway, but the extremely poor resolution and graphics kept putting me off. I prefer to be able to see what's on the screen! So for me to play this all I need is a new graphics engine, and it doesn't have to be fancy - as long as I can play in a decent resolution without my eyes hurting!

There's a custom mod already that allows to play bg1 in bg2:tob engine (which is pretty good imo). Not sure if it's possible to make the game look good on todays standards while keeping the gameplay and "feeling" like it used to be. Icewind dale 2 was kinda fail game in that aspect; it looked better than the older d&d games but the gameplay was quite clumsy.

Regardless how the enchanted editions will turn out to be, bg 1 & 2 will always be considered as one of the best games of the specific genre.
