does recent changes tilt the favour too mch in P favor? we see QQ every here and there ,wht are ur thoughts on cuureent status on tvp i believe its really really difficult for me atleast ,we can also see top terrans just hard working there way still losing plenty

tvp extremely difficult. especially when a master cant tell you how to beat them

TvP is so hard, it's just impossible to beat a late-game toss. If you don't do everything just perfectly (micro, macro, perfect engagement) you just get a-clicked to defeat. That's why I 1/1/1 almost every single TvP

tip of the week: 6 rax no gas all in every game until diamond, then go 1 base 2 port and hope you get close spawns! GL HF

I have started doing 1rax gasless fe - into 3 rax reactored starport for 2 groups of 2 medivac ((loaded with stim rines+2-3 mauraders per control group of medivac**thats only 4-6 mauraders**)) harass at multiple places.. And I have had alot of success with this style of play forcing a GG from protoss during mid-game, when i march my army into his natural/main while still harassing multiple places with drops ((never just let your drops die, when he sends units to engage it, and you are not sure if you can kill those units outright with minimal/no loses, load back up and pull out, and find a new location to harass)).. But I am only Silver League ((and this is my first season playing)(26w-22L ladder record)

I started doing this after watching the Day[9] daily #321 (i think)

((I have only been playing Sc2 for 5 days))

if there will ever be free VOD's from MLG WA, then watch the upperbracket semifinal between Huk and MarineKing, he did a match with a gasless 5rax push and totally destroyed huk without any problems at all.

Just massing the hell out of marines and nothing else really is the best thing you can do against protoss for most of the game.

The first time this really sunk in to me was playing the campaign on Brutal difficulty, I discovered that if you ignore everything else and just make barracks and reactors, and mass marines the level is piss easy.

If you try to make factory units, you will probably get creamed by the computer.

It also became obvious when I was playing protoss against terran players. I used to sit there and hope the enemy Terran did anything other than mass marines, becasue the marines beat all the protoss units.

I still don't understand why pro gamers protosses still bother to even "scout/attack" the terran with their first stalker. It's pointless and they aren't going to get anything done anyway. The bunker isn't even necessary for the terran half the time.

After all, Bunkers are 1/7th stronger than in Broodwar, while stalkers do only 13 net damage to bunkers, but cost the same as a BW dragoon...which translates to "stalkers suck vs bunkers or tanks"...and Zealots lost 10 Hp...


And while Immortals do 50 damage to bunkers and tanks, they cost twice as much as the old Dragoon and lost the ability to attack air, so if anything, they actually have a weaker weapon than they should, since they are now a ground-only specialist, but it wouldn't matter anyway, since they get annihilated by marines anyway.... That is, they cost twice as much, come on a much more expensive production facility, lost the air attack, have lower max range and deal relatively less damage per cost to marines since Marines have 45 or 55 hp...So relatively speaking, Immortals are about 1/3rd weaker than they should be against both light and armored units based on their food and resource cost.

Translation? All of the T early game units are 14 to 20% more HP-per cost, with same or similar damage per cost to Broodwar, while most of the P units are up to 30% less DPS per cost, and a couple percent less HP per cost.

Now stalkers did "technically" gain damage vs Marines as compared to the BW matchup, but since Marines have 5 or 15 extra HP, there is no net gain in effectiveness...4 hits vs 4 hits...but 31 hits for stalker vs bunker vs 18 hits for dragoon vs bunker...yah think protoss got screwed enough?

my tvp is way better now , i can beat protoss even in late game
