Which lane-rax is better to push?

I stated that the middle lane would be best due to the fact that it has a wider area (meaning that the enemies will have a harder time initiating you), it has greater importance due to being the center of the map (and teamfights often take place near it), and that it would be more easy to ignore the bot or top lane being pushed, by simply not killing the creeps on that lane till they reached the base. Furthermore it would be easier to push to another lane from mid in case of a won teamfight.
He stated that it was easier for the enemy to pick out heroes (when pushing mid and being spread), that it was better to have bot or top lane being pushed due to the distance between the two, so when one was pushed down it would be easier to push the other, and that mid had no special importance whatsoever when it would come to teamfights.
My arguments didnt seem to convince him.
SO: Which lane is the better to push ? Mid or a sidelane, and why?
(will need some arguments).
NOTE: THIS IS NOT ABOUT TIER 1 OR 2 TOWERS, ITS ABOUT PUSHING AND DESTROYING A RAX IN EITHER MID OR SIDES!!!

but i think there isnt a big difference and it all depends on the heroes in the game, personally if im entering the base i would do that on mid lane but if im taking t1 towers then the side lanes. For t2 i think its the same every lane

1st thing is which one is easier: Well it comes to strategy. You seems to be talking about teamfight oriented ones (on both sides). Ok than let's look on what kind of teamfight control we have and what they have. Top and Bottom are smaller in terms of mine positioning before their T3 tower, but also offers High ground for my side. So I would initiate on them if i have heal / high durabiliry team and not face AoE disablers like Enigma, ES or other big AoE positioning heroes like Dark Seer. On the other hand if I have more solo initiation (VS, Storm, Batride etc) and team opposite team Have AoE cc's and stuff. I should go with middle as it offers more space for me to move and more space to initiate from (via blinks, force staffs etc).
2nd thing is which rax means more benefits.
Well transitioning from one to other is same when we talk about "I rape them so i want to push more raxes b4 they spawn". As you have you creeps there and hence it doesn't matter where other lane equriblium is right now.
On the other hand some benefits go to middle, which is short so you better creeps will push faster there. But side lane creates more space for your push, so all in all it's same.

Puls imo its much easier then to push the opposite sidelane because as said they have to def the other lane where the big creeps are and the distance is longer between those two.
Plus it happens a few times that the enemy doesnt notice that the creeps are pushing when its not midlane resulting in the wave dealing dmg to the t4 towers
