So in my oppinion in these tournaments bet sizes are the most important as you have to adapt to betting differently then in regular stack tournaments.
Here are some things I think of as good tips on playing these types of tournaments.
When you have a big hand go for a significant raise because you will risk getting called more often with marginal hands as they will get the right price for calling making your hand less protected.
So in order to protect your big hand bet stronger then in regular stack tournaments.(meaning if you bet 3 times BB you can exceed to 8 times BB in deep-stack tournaments)
Also take note you can play more hands as your stack is bigger so if you get allowed play nut-type hands often as they have a bigger value here then other hands, so if you hit your hand alongside your opponent hitting lets say top pair you will get payed off more in these tournaments as they will more often bet big.(Meaning suited hands, connectors etc.)
These were some general tips now reffering to you playing in later phases, it depends, but i find aggresion when you accumulate alot of chips to be benefitial to accumulating even more chips.
With that said you should also take note what image are you sending to the table. If you raise alot of hands they will think of your range to be really wide, so you can exploit it by changing gears(mixing-it up) start playing differently and shorten your range alot, so you will get called even with monster hands based on your image.
This is a sum-up of the things I find to be important I can elaborate them more if you want, hope I helped a bit!

What you said about agression after building up a big stack, I know how it works in theory but when I'm at the table it feels like I'm gonna give away chips more often then gaining chips, maybe it's beacuse some players are to loose or maybe it's beacuse I'm agressive in the wrong situations I dont really know.
