PVP - stable builds

PvP has been cracked wide open since patch 1.40.
it's gotten to the point where a lot of us are lost.
so the question is:
What is your strategy for PvP?
Personally i've been trying to get a 2gate robo stargate build to work but it's so damn hard.

On maps like Taldarim, its pretty obvious that you've to 4 gate, since you cant block you entrance with 1 forcefield, which makes it pretty hard to defend.
I liked the PvP how it was before way more than now ...

Usually win on one base too.
Top replay "Blistering Low Econ PvP Challenge"..
That was a bit of a grudge match, because me and the other guy were playing Co-op random teams vs the computers, and to make a long story short we got in an argument about who was the better protoss...So, naturally, a 1v1 ensued...
What he didn't understand is 4 gate ends up not working, and actually ends up slower than 2/1 robo, because you end up spending 300 more minerals on buildings, which is 3 zealots, or 2 stalkers, or one immortal, and if you're down by that much you pretty much already lost.
Also, with this pretty obvious opening (or something like it,) it actually helps you if your opponent tries to FE. If the opponent tries FE on pretty much any map, you get a free win, which is why I don't expand in PvP...
