Update adds HRTF audio, de_nuke changes

Valve has decided to directly address audio inaccuracy in CS:GO with the release of the latest patch for the game, 1.35.6.0, which has in addition to holiday changes has introduced a Head-Related Transfer Function option in the audio settings, which drastically increases directional audio. ryx, Drone join Splyce

The North American team has brought its ranks back up to five this week following their signing of two new players to the team, Ronnie "ryx" Bylicki and Taylor "Drone" Johnson. The team had been down to only three players since mid-November when Splyce decided to part ways with  David “DAVEY” Stafford and Enkhtaivan “Machinegun” Lkhagva.

 

BtS to host $100,000 CS:GO event

Beyond the Summit, a tournament organiser best known for their relaxed format have announced this week a $100,000 prize pool CS:GO event that will feature eight of the world's best teams. The event is scheduled to take place in April 2017 on the 19th - 23rd, hosted in the beautiful Los Angeles, California, United States at a private residence. 

China to force developers to reveal loot box rates

Chinese officials have announced this week that beginning in May of next year, game developers will be required to be fully transparent regarding the drop rates of in-game items in loot boxes that are purchased with actual currency. minet in as coach for Rogue

After three months following the inital formation of Rogue's current CS:GO roster, the United States based team has finally decided to invest in a coach for the line-up, bringing in Oliver "minet" Minet of mTw fame. 

Astralis secure first place at ECS Season 2

Astralis are crowned Champions of ECS Season 2 after the team secured a victory against North American representatives OpTic Gaming. The best of three saw a total of two maps, both of which were secured by the Danish side.
