The Alienware Area 51 CS:GO Cup has reached the semi-finals, where the top four teams of the tournament will battle it out for their piece of the $10,000 total prize pool.

Amongst the list of qualified teams include Team Liquid, Luminosity Gaming, eLevate, and Area51. Team Liquid secured their spot in the semi's after they defeated Denial eSports 2-0, while Luminosity qualified by defeating SYNRGY in a similar 2-0 fashion.

The next match, which was between Counter Logic Gaming and Team eLevate, was much closer. Despite a loss on their map pick, de_inferno, the underdog team of eLevate still managed to pull through after they completely dominated on de_nuke and de_dust2, winning the series 2-1.

The final map of the day saw Area51  taking down SKDC 2-1, 16-12 on the first map, de_dust2. However, a failure to connect to the server on the second map by Area51 let SKDC get a forfeit win. In the end, Area51 still came up on top after they won de_overpass 16-13.
