MLG X Games Aspen have announce that CEVO will be hosting qualifiers, both for Europe and North America.
The qualifiers are planned to be held from December 14th until December 21st. There will be five online qualifiers in three different regions. The five spots at the Main event will be distributed as follow: 2 slots for European qualifier, 2 slots for North American qualifier and1 slot for Brazilian qualifier.
Those five teams from the qualifiers will join the already invited Ninjas in Pyjamas, Fnatic and Cloud9. The event is planned to take place in January 23-25 in Aspen, Colorado. The prize pool is set to $50,000.
A format of the qualifiers is set to 128 teams double elimination bracket, where the top eight teams will advance to the Day 2. On the Day 2 those eight qualified teams will be grouped up with the eight directly invited teams in a single elimination bracket played in best-of-three series, where only the winning team will earn the spot at the Main Event.
