The second season of Korea DotA2 League will begin on April 27th, featuring matches every Wednesday and Sunday up until late June 2014. The ten participants are divided into two tiers, and they receive a reward for each victory depending on their tier.
One of the most prestigious Asian competitions, Korea DotA2 League returns this April. Ten squads based in Korea compete for the massive reward every Wednesday and Sunday in Nexon Arena, Seoul. The last season's winner was Team Zephyr, earning ~$10,000 for their 3-0 victory against MVP.Phoenix.
The tournament uses successive victories as the criteria for the teams' rewards. The teams are divided into two tiers, and battle squads of their own tier every week. Each victory grants tier one teams ~$4800 and tier two teams and tier two teams ~$1900. For each successive victory, every team receives a bonus of ~$1,000, up to six wins. The top two tier-one teams face each other in the season's grand final, in an attempt to get their hands on the $10,000 season prize.

This is the second season of KDL. A total of four seasons have been announced for 2014, with the third season taking place from July through September, and the fourth season being scheduled for October through December.
