Voidle steps down from Gambit Gaming

Voidle joins the fray of departed teammates during the hectic roster swaps in pre-season 4.

With all the shifting going on during Season 4 to help create the perfect teams in terms of future performance, Gambit Gaming decided to make a big decision recently.  The contract of Erih "Voidle" Sommermann will not be extended, and the player will be leaving the team while Gambit Gaming seeks out a new support.

While Erih "Voidle" Sommermann has shown strong performances in terms of talent and playstyle, he lacked the international experience to play consistently and solidly in front of a large audience and during travel compared to the likes of his teammates, who fly in and out of Russia weekly for the LCS, leaving them only 3 days of practice during the week.  Gambit Gaming gives out their thanks to the player for his participation and although the performance hit was noticeable at the Season 3 World Championships and Intel Extreme Masters Gamescom, Gambit Gaming still saw him as a solid player in his own right.

Statement of Erih "Voidle" Sommermann to Gambit:

While I'm a bit sad that I won't be playing with Gambit Gaming in the next season, I am still very thankful for the opportunity they gave me and the time we spent together. Thanks to them and the help of Riot I was able to fulfil a dream I had had since the start of the year. I wish them luck in the S4 LCS and hope to meet them again on the fields of justice maybe under a different team."
