The Indonesian team, PG.Barracx will be making a big professional appearance in the main event of Galaxy Battles II.
The Galaxy Battles II Wildcard Series was held yesterday to determine the last team that would have the honor to compete in the main event. Originally scheduled to have four teams participate, both Team Empire and Team Kinguin had withdrawn from the event, leaving only two teams to square off for one slot. Remaining were the two regional teams that earned their place in the NewBlood Championship event that was held in Jakarta, Indonesia back in October. The first place team, Skyville from the Philippines and runner up team, PG. Barracx from Indonesia faced off for a rematch to gain a chance of a lifetime to compete against top tier teams on the main stage.
In the best-of-three series, the Indonesian exacted their revenge on Skyville with a reverse sweep, 2:1 victory. The team will go head to head against North American titans and TI5 champions - Evil Geniuses.
The event is getting ready to kick off this weekend - taking place between January 19-21st at the Philippine Arena in Cuidad de Victoria in the Philippines featuring $500,000 prize pool.
