Team Kinguin clinch Perfect World Masters spot, round out competing teams

Team Kinguin claimed the European spot for the Perfect World Masters, completing the list of teams to compete in the Chinese Minor next month.

With a 2:1 victory over HellRaisers last night, the full Polish squad punched their ticket to the team's first appearance in a Valve sponsored event. The lineup had been on the rise since last year as Team Singularity, grinding their way through the European scene and making waves for several months. This season, the team hit hard and fast, showing up as a real contender in each of the ProCircuit qualifiers and creating a stir.

Only one day prior, Vega Squadron had also clinched their spot in the Perfect World Masters after defeating Team Empire 2:1 - also the team's first appearance at a Valve sponsored event.

The two organization's historic wins sealed the up the ten teams that will be competing for a slice of the $300,000 prize pool and 300 qualifying points November 19-26 in Shanghai, China. Format and other details will be forthcoming in the next few weeks.

Team Secret, Newbee and LGD Forever Young have all received direct invites to participate - Perfect World Masters being the first of the ProCircuit events to extend an invitation to more than two teams.  The rest of the lineup includes one qualified team for EU (Team Kinguin), NA (compLexity Gaming), SA (SG e-sports), SEA (Mineski) and CIS (Vega Squadron) with two qualified teams (LGD Gaming and ViCi Gaming) coming in from China.
