Dota PIT is a minor now, and it will feature eight teams from across the Globe playing this November from Split, Croatia for a $300,000 prize pool, and 300 qualifier points counting towards TI8.
The International 2017 grand finalists Team Liquid and Newbee received the direct invites for this minor as well, making AMD SAPPHIRE Dota Pit the third event in a row to have reserved the two direct invite spots for the same teams. Team Liquid’s and Newbee’s schedules for this first part of the season already include direct invites to the SL i-League Invitational Season 3 Minor (October 12-15) and ESL One Hamburg Major (October 26-29).
AMD SAPPHIRE Dota Pit have also announced some of the qualifiers details for their sixth season. The long marathon to Split, Croatia will commence this weekend, September 23-24, with the open qualifiers, held on Face it for Europe and North America while the closed qualifiers are scheduled for the last week of September and the beginning of October as follows:
September 25-27: CIS, Southeast Asia
September 28-30: Europe, North America, China
October 1-3: South America

The full info on the open qualifiers and the closed qualifiers invites will be announced in the next few days. The AMD SAPPHIRE Dota Pit LAN playoffs will be held in Croatia, Split November 2-5 at the Meridian Lav Hotel with no public audience.
