Top teams from all regions to play in the PGL Open Bucharest Minor regional qualifiers

The new Minors/Majors season is bringing back something fans have missed for a long time. Their favorite teams are bound to play more officials, fighting for a spot in the actual LAN finals of an event.

PGL Open Bucharest will be the second Minor of the season, after SL i-League Invitational and with the open qualifiers for the event just around the corner, the organizers have started to announce the direct invites at the regional qualifiers. There will be two teams advancing in each region from open brackets to the regionals and they will join six others directly invited.

In Europe, the highlights are, of course, OG and  Team Secret while in China, LFY, the top three finishers at TI7 will also play for a spot at PGL Open Bucharest Minor. It’s been almost a year since OG last played for a spot to an event via qualifiers. It was in November 2016 at ESL One Genting, an event which they missed out by losing the EU qualifiers 2:3 to Virtus Pro. With the addition of the mandatory CIS separate region for Minors and Majors, OG and VP won’t face each other out unless both of them will qualify for the LAN event.
