A Vault in the Deep, the second act of the multiplayer campaign, exclusively available to The International 2017 Battle Pass owners went live last night and it brings a few changes in game play.
Abaddon has been removed from the hero pool for this campaign but nine other heroes are added now. Apart from this, the Artifacts cannot be used unless you have collected a certain number of “Artifact Coins”. Artifact Coins can be found as simple drops from the normal creep weaves you have to kill before reaching a boss and are also earned when completing a full zone. The low levels Artifacts cost 10 to 30 coins and price rises accordingly to the artifact level, up to 160 Coins.
All the Artifacts earned through Act I are available in Act II as well and vice versa. There are a total of 16 new Artifacts in Act II and 11 new achievements waiting to be unlocked. The new achievements are worth 8,250 Compendium points (8 Battle Pass levels) and completing these will keep you busy for the rest of the summer as Act II has no less than 15 zones to be explored.

In addition, for those interested in a more casual experience, Valve has implemented an Adventure Mode for both acts but this mode won’t grant any Artifacts drop, no achievements can be completed and no rewards will be given at the end of any zone. However, the Adventure Mode is more than useful if you want to go through fast forward map scouting, get an idea about the new bosses and abilities.
Same as in Act I, completing a zone with one or two stars for the first time will grant you Battle Pass levels while achieving a three stars zone performance will grant you a Treasure reward. Each Siltbreaker Treasure includes a chance to receive an indescribably-rare Immortal Desert Sands Baby Roshan courier, and Battle Pass owners with Battle Level 165 or higher will receive double the treasures for each three-star zone they complete with the reward bonus active.
The Siltbreaker campaign will be available until the TI7 Battle Pass expires, which is on the 18th of September 2017.
