ROG Masters 2017 Chinese Regional finals kick off with CDEC vs ViCi Gaming Potential

The ROG Masters 2017 Chinese Regional finals are currently underway featuring four directly invited teams battling it out over the weekend for the one spot at the ROG Masters 2017 LAN main event.

CDEC Gaming, Team Max, ViCi Gaming Potential and VDuoBao were all selected to compete in the condensed regional finals. The four teams will battle it out in the single bracket, best-of-three elimination series leading into the five game Grand Finals. One team will be granted access to the LAN finals anticipated to take place in China during November and worth a $250,000 prize pool.

While the other three regions - APAC (Asia-Pacific), EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), and Americas were required to participate in open qualifiers and then an online regional qualifiers before heading to the LAN regional finals, China was seeded directly into the LAN regional finals.

The offline event is taking place at ChinaJoy in Shanghai, China. ChinaJoy is a digital entertainment expo and conference boasting more than 325,000 visitors visiting the facility which is more than 140,000 square meters large.

All matches are being broadcast live HERE in English by Gareth Bateson and Ben "Noxville" Steenhuisen. Semi finals begin on July 29th at 03:30 CEST between CDEC and ViCi Gaming Potential, followed by VDuoBao taking on Team Max. The Grand Finals will take place on Sunday, July 30th at 05:30 CEST.
