Digital Chaos to replace Clutch Gamers at Dota Summit 7

Digital Chaos are the last addition to the Dota Summit 7 team line-up, as the SEA qualifiers winners were unable to secure US visa for their players.

Although the first option for replacing the Southeast Asian qualifiers winners would have been Warriors Gaming Unity, who placed second in said leg of the competition, there is very little time left until the LAN kicks off, therefore almost no time for WG Unity to apply and secure the US visa either. Digital Chaos are the runners up of the North American qualifiers and with all the players already settled in the United States, Beyond the Summit extended a last minute invite to them in order to make sure all the teams will be at the event with their full rosters.

Digital Chaos are not the only team summoned to replace a qualified one at this Dota Summit edition. A few days back, the Chinese qualifier winners, CDEC Gaming announced that two of their players, along with the team coach, couldn’t get the visa and decided to drop from the event, LGD Gaming replacing them instead.

Dota Summit 7 will take place next week, June 14-18, at the Beyond the Summit house with eight teams fighting for the $100,000.

Dota Summit 7 participating teams:

Russia Virtus Pro (direct invite)
China VG J (direct invite)
Europe Team Secret (direct invite)

Canada NP (NA qualifiers winners)
Ukraine Natus Vincere (EU qualifiers winners)
Russia Team Empire (Lootbet Invitational winners)
China LGD Gaming  (replacement for CDEC Gaming)
United States Digital Chaos (replacement for Clutch Gamers)

Summit 7, along with the Galaxy Battles which is taking place on the exact same dates, are the very last LAN events ahead of The International 7 invites and they are most likely to land the winners of each of these events, apart from the Championship titles and the prize money, the coveted ticket to the biggest event of the year.
