Siltbreaker campaign delayed for next week

The first Dota 2 multiplayer campaign was promised to be released at the end of May. However, Valve admits that they haven’t finished working on the product.

The Siltbreaker campaign was announced with the International 2017 Battle Pass release on the 5th of May. Designed as a co-op storyline in two acts, The Sand of Fate, the first act of the campaign was promised to be available to all the Battle Pass owners at the end of this month while the second act, A Vault in the Deep, is supposed to be released sometime in July. With the month of May coming to an end in just two days, Valve made a short announcement via their twitter account, saying that they are “currently finishing up the Siltbreaker campaign” which will push the launch for the next week, however no exact date was given.

To adventure into the Siltbreaker underwater world, players will be required to be in a four man premade party or to be part of a randomly matched stack and will have to collaborate in fighting various enemies and take on different challenges meant to save the deep seas from evil forces.  At the end of each adventure, depending on the team level of success, everyone will be rewarded with Campaign XP points that can be used to spin a wheel of certain rewards. Valve has not revealed the entire rewards table apart from the biggest of them all, which is an exclusive Desert Sands Baby Roshan courier.

As exciting as all these might sound, the International 7 Battle Pass owners have to put their hype on hold and hope for Valve to deliver the first act by the end of the next week.
