Galaxy Battles EU and NA qualifier details released; SG eSports and Mousesports to compete

NESO Galaxy Battles has released the information for EU and NA qualifiers including teams, schedule and format. Mousesports, SG eSports, Prodota Gaming and others scheduled to compete.

Three regions have already taken the first steps to participate in the NESO Galaxy Battles. Now, Europe and the Americas are getting ready to join the party.

By the end of next week, four teams will be booking their tickets to Shenzhen, China to compete alongside Thunderbirds, TnC, Newbee and iG.Vitality in the LAN finals June 14-18th.

Galaxy Battles EU:

The Galaxy Battles EU open qualifiers will begin next week on May 29th and span the course of two days. Teams are encouraged to sign up HERE for a chance to advance into the regional qualifiers.

One team will have the honor of joining the other seven invited team in a closed qualifier kicking off on May 31st.

All eight teams will participate in a best-of-one Round Robin format. The top team will then be granted a place in the main event.

Galaxy Battles NA:

The Americas will be staggered slightly from the their European counterparts. The open qualifiers will begin on May 30th, with registration still open HERE.

As with the prevoius regions, one team will have the honor of joining the other seven invited team in a closed qualifier battle - eight teams duking it out in a one game series Round Robin format.

One team will advance to see the main stage in China.

Galaxy Battles main event format details

The eight teams heading into the $150,000 main event (four qualified plus four directly invited) will be first play a seeding group stage. The group stage will take place in a bo2- Round Robin format on June 14-15, with the eight final participants being split into two groups of four. The main event bracket seedlings will be determined based on the scores registered in the group stage.

Starting on the 16th of June the main event playoffs will kick off on the big stage of the Shenzhen Bay Sports Stadium. It’s going to be an epic battle held across three days, June 16-18 in a double elimination, best-of-three format with best-of-five grand finals! Taking into consideration that TI7 open qualifiers are set to start a few days after the Galaxy Battles grand finals, on the 22nd of June, the stakes are even higher as the winner of NESO’s fourth event might just secure themselves a free ticket to Seattle this summer.
