The StarLadder i-League Invitational 2 will feature only eight teams comprised of both direct invites and squads that will emerge battled and bruised from the online qualifiers. No team information has been released as of yet.

The main event will be held in Shanghai, China between May 18-21st with some of the top teams in the world competing for a piece of the $100,000 prize pool. The online qualifiers will kick off April 14th. It is expected that the format for the qualifiers will be similar to StarLadder i-League Invitational 1 from last April. One team - Vega Squadron - qualified through the European closed qualifiers. One team - Vici Gaming Reborn qualified through the Chinese H Cup series.

All further details of the event, including the participants of the qualifiers, first invites and the upcoming schedule can be found in the near future at starladder.com.

StarLadder i-League Invitational 1

Vici Gaming Reborn overtook Natus Vincere, 3:1, in the SL iLeague Dota 2 Grand Finals. Coming in through the H Cup Series qualifiers in China, ViCi Gaming was the dark horse that turned the odds on their heads and blind sided the audience and opponents with their knockout performances.  ViCi Gaming Reborn then walked away with the $45,000 first place prize and the trophy. The team was also granted a direct invite to the Manila Major for their achievement as well.
