Down to one member so far, and without a Pinoy roster anymore, Mineski lost their eligibility to participate in the Filipino qualifiers for the Manila Masters.
Two days ago, Mineski announced one of the biggest roster change they ever made, dropping the entire squad that played in the Kiev Major qualifiers in favor of a new beginning with an international team captained by Chai 'Mushi' Yee Fung. But this move means they forfeit their spot in the Filipino playoffs qualifier stage for the Manila Masters.
Taking their place are Clutch Gamers, a recently formed team who made waves earlier this month in the regional qualifiers of the Kiev Major. Just a week ago, Clutch Gamers finished at the top of the SEA qualifiers group stage, tied with Faceless and TNC. However, their road was cut short in the lower bracket first round by TNC.
Clutch Gamers roster:
Armel 'Armel' Paul Tabios
Avelino 'Ab1ng' Parungao
Rafael 'Rapy' Sicat Palo
Marvin 'Boombacs' Rushton
Kenneth 'flysolo' Coloma
Manila Masters can become Clutch Gamers’ second big chance of making a break out, but for that they will have to prove themselves against some of the best local teams, including TNC who are also invited in the Pinoy playoffs qualifiers. The competition will take place on the 5th and 6th of May in a single elimination bracket with only the winner advancing into the main event.
