EPICENTER returns for its second season of Dota 2 action

After what was one of the most memorable Dota 2 tournaments, held in Moscow in May of last year, EPICENTER returns with a second edition.

In May 2016 we took a journey, with eight of the best Dota 2 teams from around the world, to Moscow, Russia. Now we return once again as EPICENTER have announced that a second season of their spectacular event is on the way. This time we will witness ten teams from around the world taking part in all-out Dota 2 warfare to claim their share of the $500,000 prize pool.

According to their website, the qualifiers for EPICENTER will begin in May this time around and will occur in North America, Europe, China, the CIS region and “other regions”. After this there will be a group stage from June 4-7 which will lead into the main event, taking place from June 9-11. No team invite announcements have been made thus far, but with the Kiev Major and lots of other Dota 2 action on the way, invites are sure to go out soon.

As well as the Dota 2 event taking place, EPICENTER will also feature a cosplay contest, open to anyone and everyone. The top cosplayers will be afforded the chance to perform on the main stage plus they will be trying to secure part of the 200,000 Rubles prize pool for themselves.

Tickets for the EPICENTER: Moscow playoff stage will begin in April while applications for the cosplay contest will be opening in the near future.
