DreamLeague Season 7 announced with NA division

DreamLeague Season 7 will maintain the traditional tournament format, but will also have a few changes, including the relocation of the LAN finals from Europe to North America.

For the first time in the tournament's history, the DreamLeague playoffs will be held in US, during DreamHack Atlanta on July 21-22. Another important change is the addition of an NA division with three directly invited teams for the League Play group stage and qualifiers organised on the FACEIT platform. In fact both European and NA divisions will feature a qualifier stage where the winners will advance into the League Play.

While the NA division will have four teams fighting for one spot to the LAN playoffs, Europe will feature a total of eight squads (seven invited and one qualified) duking it out in the League Play. Top three will advance into the LAN playoffs. The League Play will be held in the old fashion way, a round robin group stage, bo2 series where each won game is awarded with one point and one thousand Dollars. The EU League Play has a prize pool of $56,000 while the NA has only $12,000, given the lower number of teams involved.

For the LAN playoffs, DreamLeague Season 7 offers a total of $175,000 prize money split as follows:

1st place: $80,000
2nd place: $45,000
3rd place: $30,000
4th place: $20,000

As the DreamLeague LAN playoffs are scheduled in the second part of July, close to The International 7, the organizers are also offering a bootcamp to all the teams that will end up attending both events.

More information regarding the qualifiers and the invited teams for the League Play stage will be made public this Friday.
