Dota 2 OverPower Cup to kick off this upcoming weekend

As the Kiev Major draws ever closer, we have more Dota 2 action to entertain us before it begins.

The Dota 2 OverPower Cup, organised by ProDota, will see eight teams from the European and CIS regions battle it out, over 3 days, in a single elimination bracket contest. All games in the tournament are set to be best-of-three as the teams fight for their share of the $5000 prize pool. The event will take place this coming weekend, 17-20 March and the matches will be streamed by Moonducktv for those wanting English commentary and the dota2ruhub for the Russian viewership.

The eight invited teams are as follows:

Russia Team Empire
Russia Vega Squadron
CIS LQ
Europe Elements Pro Gaming
Denmark Cloud 9
CIS F.R.I.E.N.D.S
Sweden Ninjas in Pyjamas

While the tournament prize pool is split to $3000 for 1st, $1500 for 2nd and $500 for 3rd - the community are able to up the prize pool via donations. All the details for the event, along with the donation goals, can be found on the official website.
