The round-robin group stage was played on March 10th and March 11th and just finished. The four winners that will fight for the two SEA spots in the Kiev Major in the next stage are Faceless, TNC, Clutch Gamers and Mineski.GG.
Apart from Clutch Gamers performance, the group stage provided few surprises. As expected, Faceless had a great day one and finished with four wins. Day two was less successful, but two losses to TNC and Bazaar were not enough of an obstacle and the team advances into the playoffs with a 7-2 record. TNC started off on the wrong foot on day one with three victories and two losses, but a four win streak (including a win over Faceless) put them right at the top with a score of 7-2.
The suprise was delivered by Clutch Gamers, but the ProDota Cup SEA #5 demonstrated that they deserve to be where they are. The team had a 3-1 score for both days and lost only to Faceless and Rex Regum Qeon to claim an overall record of 7-2.
The first semifinal will start tomorrow, March 12th at 11:00 SGT with the series between Clutch Gamers and Mineski, while the second semifinal will offer a super clash between Faceless and TNC. The day will be concluded with the winners' bracket final.
