The last two teams from the North American open qualifiers and the last four from South America bracket have been decided. Infamous and Not Today have made it in the SA regionals, so did the ex-Wanted players QO and Jeyo.
A day after the regional qualifiers invites were revealed, Peter 'ppd' Dager announced that his team WanteD is in fact disbanded. Left teamless and with the regional qualifiers invite revoked by Valve, Kim 'QO' Seon-yeop and Jio 'Jeyo' Madayag signed up in the opens with is GG. They lost the race in the first open qualifiers in the round of 16, where they got eliminated by CompLexity Gaming but the second round of NA open qualifiers went in their favour.
Joining them from the second open qualifier battle is the revived Team Fire, lead by Brian 'FLUFFNSTUFF' Lee and featuring the likes of Tyler 'TC' Cook, Bryant 'WhiteBeard' Lehwald and Braxton 'Brax' Paulson, well-established players in the region with a lot of achievements under their belt.
In the SA open qualifiers, the two favorites Infamous and Not Today have finally managed to claim the regionals spots after a shocking performance in the first session where they failed to reach top four. Along with them, Luccini and Sacola de lixo have also made it to top four, claiming a spot in the regional qualifiers of the Kiev Major.
Both NA and SA regionals will commence today, February 10. The NA group stage will kick off at 13:00 EST/19:00 CET while the SA will start at 11:00 EST/17:00 CET.
