Team Secret announced managerial staff changes, with Turkish businessman Kemal Sad?ko?lu stepping down from the Team Director position.
Kemal Sad?ko?lu was entrusted with the team Director position in April 2015, eight months after Clement 'Puppey' Ivanov created the team. Son of the Turkish billionaire Kahraman Sad?ko?lu, Kemal kept his position at Team Secret for two years and in this timespan Secret had to deal with two big scandals of allegedly owing money to some of their ex-members. At the beginning of 2016 Evany Chang, OG’s manager reported that Fly and N0taiL are owned their prize pool money from their time at Team Secret and towards the end of the same year, EternaLEnVy made a long blog post in which revealed a little bit more than just delayed or non-payments and breaches of contractual terms with sponsors.
Today, Team Secret thanked Kemal for his time with the organization and announced John Yao as the new CEO. In their own secretive manner, the organization gave little to no details about John Yao, only saying that he “brings seasoned executive experience to the team, an impressive track record of business success, and perhaps most importantly - a passionate devotion to Team Secret’s mission.” However, the new CEO is the brother of current Team Secret Senior Manager Jorge Yao, suggesting a degree of nepotism as an unknown arrives at the top of one of the richest teams in Europe.
With Kemal Sad?ko?lu leaving the ship, Team Secret is most likely to bootcamp for the Kiev Major qualifiers in some new location, as one of their tweets indicated they were flying with a Scandinavian airline.
For the past two years Team Secret bootcamped mostly in Istanbul, and in April last year they introduced their fans to a big and fancy team house located somewhere in Turkey.
