Earlier today, Fnatic released their roster for the upcoming ESL One Genting, with faces old and new joining Mushi and Ohaiyo.
With the departure of Jimmy 'DeMoN' Ho, Marc Polo 'Raven' Luis Fausto, and Nico 'Eyyou' Barcelon, the new Fnatic roster looks to bring some stability to the team.
First on Fnatic's new roster is former MVP.Phoenix position 4, Yongmin 'febby' Kim. Febby and his former squad had a breakout performance in 2016, finishing in the top 6 of the Manila Major and TI6, with their signature caveman-doto style that put them into the hearts of many fans. Febby brings his talents to the Fnatic roster in the same position 4 as in his former team.
Second, a well-known Chinese DotA veteran and long time rival of Mushi joins the fray, as former White Fries Gaming player Wei Poong 'YamateH' Ng takes up the position 5 slot for the new Fnatic lineup. Considered one of earliest "gods" of the Chinese DOTA1 community along with Jonathan 'Loda' Berg (L-God), the veteran with Mushi will no doubt bring a wealth of experience and calmness to the new roster. However, YamateH only serves as a stand-in for Fnatic at ESL One Genting, so the position 5 may remain open after the tournament.
Rounding out Fnatic's new lineup is the Indonesian rookie, Muhammad 'InYourDream' Rizky. InYourDream makes his professional debut at ESL One Genting with the new Fnatic, but his skill has been well known on the SEA server, being in the top 8 of the MMR leaderboards, just under 8k. InYourDream will rotate with Mushi in the position 1 and 2 roles for the upcoming tournament, and we look forward to seeing what the young and talented player can do.
