First day at the Americas regional qualifiers ended with four NA teams leading the charts while the two European invaders via open qualifiers are struggling.
Both compLexity Gaming and FDL had an undefeated run, ending the first day tied for first place with nine points and three victories out of the three games played. NP was close to achieve the same record, however an unfortunate Roshan attempt in their game versus Prodota Gaming killed Jacky 'EternaLEnVy' Mao’s Invoker served a free Aegis to Ylli 'garter' Ramadani’s Luna and with it the game victory.
With two wins and one loss, NP sits on the third position in the group followed closely by Wild Witch Doctors and Elements Pro Gaming with the same amount of points but a 2-2 overall win-loss tack. The bottom three squads are in real danger of missing the regional qualifiers playoffs, all sitting on negative records. Infamous and Prodota Gaming have three matches left to play (a total of nine points) on the second day of the group stage. Kingao+4 has four games, but they are now the bottom team with 0 points.
Americas group stage will resume today, October 28, at 19:00 CEST/10:00 PDT with a crucial meeting between NP and Elements Pro Gaming. The Europeans have a high chance to snatch a fourth place finish if they win the game. The second day is also the last one for the group stage with the top four teams advancing into the double elimination bracket playoffs. The two finalists from playoffs will secure their tickets for the Boston Major main event.
