NP are going to The Summit 6

The American regional qualifiers for The Summit 6 concluded last night with a very intense grand final held between NP and compLexity Gaming.

NP and compLexity Gaming clashed in the first round when EE-Sama’s team knocked coL into the lower bracket with a convincing 2-0 victory. For the next four days coL fought their way back into the grand finals where they met NP once more.

In the first game of the bo5 grand finals series coL had a dominant performance from start to finish with a mobile line up. The Io-Storm Spirit infest bomb combo plus a mean Leshrac played by David 'Moo' Hull in the offlane allowed coL to take the lead with the first Storm Spirit rotation. coL’s entire game plan was developed around the Oracle and Io sustainability along with the relocates power, a plan that went perfectly up to the point where Zakari 'Zfreek' Freedman (Io) didn’t even needed to bother with a pair of boots. The game was a one sided affair that ended with a total kill score of 23 to 10 in coL’s favor.

NP bounced back strong with the second game of the series and prevented coL’s healing power strategy with a position five Theeban '1437' Siva - Phantom Assassin. Sent offlane with Slardar, the Phantom Assassin proved to be the key factor in NP’s victory, with his team enjoying a very smooth transition to the mid game stage andfinished with four cores, all nearly six slotted. NP took the series in about 30 minutes with a final 34 to 6 kill score in their favor.

The two teams went neck and neck trading games up to the decisive game five where compLexity did a bit of a mistake in the drafting stage. They secured two strong intellect heroes - Invoker and Leshrac but let Nyx Assassin survive the bans and NP didn’t hesitate a second to take it with their last pick. The game started with coL claiming the first blood but that was all the advantage they had in the early game. Good rotations from NP and perfect usage of Skywrath’s nukes put them in a comfortable lead by the 10 minute mark. Nonetheless, coL didn’t give up and managed to recover bit by bit, eventually being the first to take all the tier two towers and to poke their heads on NP’s high ground.

Feeling confident with an Aegis in their pockets, coL forced NP to defend their mid lane barracks and kept pressuring. While all the action was happening in the NP base, Kurtis 'Aui_2000' Ling single handedly took down two set of barracks from coL forcing the end of the game into a base race scenario. With the tier four towers exposed on both Radiant and Dire sides, coL and NP fought in the middle of the map for over 20 minutes trying to find the opening for the final base siege but all the clashes finished with even trades. At the 57 minute mark Arif 'MSS' Anwar found coL’s Medusa alone outside her base, killed her and coL were forced to use the buy back in order to prevent mega creeps from happening. Five minutes later NP lured coL outside their base and trapped them into a perfect Slithereen Crush - Mystic Flare combo which took down three of the Radiant heroes, including Medusa. Left without buybacks compLexity lost the game and their chance of qualifying at The Summit 6.

With their victory, NP are the second team to qualify for The Summit 6, after Team Faceless booked their tickets for LA one day ago.

The Summit 6 LAN finals will be held in the BTS House from Los Angeles, California on November 16th-20th with a $100,000 prize pool. NP and Team Faceless will join the directly invited teams: OG, Wings Gaming, Evil Geniuses and Digital Chaos. Two more qualified squads will be decided by the end of this week, one from Europe and one from China.
