Four of the seven direct invites that will be given out for the Northern Arena BEAT Invitational have been announced.
With the announcement of DC, coL, EG and Alliance as the first four direct invites to the BEAT Invitational, four of the eight teams that will be participating in the LAN event set in Montreal, Canada have been decided. Another team participating in the LAN event will be decided tomorrow, after a best-of-five grand final that is scheduled for 00:00 CEST; three more direct invites are expected to be announced in the near future.
The invited teams will be taking part in the LAN event from the 11th to 14th of November at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada. Coinciding with the day the fifth team participating in the event will be decided, ticket sales for the LAN event will open here tomorrow.
As of writing, the four invited teams are at different levels of activity. coL and DC have yet to play a recorded official game with their new rosters while EG are currently playing in the MarsTV Dota2 League’s LAN event.
Taking place in November, the Northern Arena BEAT Invitational will likely be the first major international LAN in the North American region after The International 6. The month also marks the half-way point of the fall season, enabling the event to give an idea of the state of the professional scene in the build up to the Fall Major.
