The Dota2Danger Cup is a new online tournament aimed at lower tier teams with the main purpose of creating a real competitive environment for them in order to grow and develop their players.
Despite the rather small prize pool for its first edition, only $3,500, Dota2Danger gathered 16 teams and will kick off the first season today, 26th of September with a closed qualifier group stage.
The 16 teams are split into four groups where they’ll be playing in a round robin, two games series format, in order to determine the top two finishers in each group. A clear 2-0 victory brings 3 points while a draw scored will grant 1 point. The top two teams from each group will advance to the playoffs stage, which is scheduled to commence on October 13.
